Emma has teamed up with Time’s Up to help launch a Workplace Sexual Harassment Hotline! According to the website Rights of Women, the line will provide the only specialist free legal advice line for women in England and Wales experiencing sexual harassment at work – “The legal advice will be provided by Rights of Women legal staff and volunteer women employment lawyers through a dedicated telephone line. Women calling will be able to get specialist legal advice on what behaviour constitutes sexual harassment, how to bring a grievance against their employer, how to make a claim in the Employment Tribunal, settlement agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other related legal problems faced by women experiencing sexual harassment in the workplace.

The advice line is funded by the TIME’S UP UK Justice and Equality Fund, managed by Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls, kickstarted by donations from British actor and activist Emma Watson and others.

Read Emma Watson’s official statement below:

“I’m honestly delighted that the funds raised by the public through the Justice and Equality Fund, which TIME’S UP UK catalysed in collaboration with women’s organisations, is powering the only free, specialist legal advice line for women in England and Wales experiencing sexual harassment at work*.

However, it’s completely staggering to think that this is the only service of its type given that research has found that as many as one in two women experience sexual harassment in the workplace. It finally feels like people are realising the scale of the problem, and I’m certainly hopeful that with global standards such as the recent International Labour Organization treaty on harassment at work, we’ll start to see a new climate of prevention and accountability on this issue domestically.

Understanding what your rights are, how you can assert them, and the choices you have if you’ve experienced harassment, is such a vital part of creating safe workplaces for everyone, and this advice line is such a huge development in ensuring that all women are supported, wherever we work.”

Hey guys! I’m here to bring some wonderful news to those of you who have been around the Emma Watson fandom for a very long time: Sassy! Dress Like Emma is back online! Much like I Heart Watson, Sassy! is one of the oldest Emma fansites, and we used to be affiliated with it way back when. It is different from IHW in its purpose: instead of finding news related to Emma’s career, Sassy! offers a variety of content related to her looks, such as make-up and hair tutorials and clothing style guides.

Make sure you visit our sister site on dresslikeemma.org!

Happy Birthday, Emma!
(April 16, 2019)

Today is Emma’s 29th Birthday! Although she still looks like the teenager we constantly looked up to growing up, she’s become such an inspirational grown up. It’s been a joy to see all that she’s achieved year after year, and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.

Emma, we are so very proud of you. We wish you the best that life has to offer, as we have no doubt you’ll continue to give back to the world in the most generous ways you can. Thank you for leading by example, and for being the beautiful, kind, intelligent and entertaining woman that you are. Happy Birthday! ♥️

Make sure you send her your wishes on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram!

Today is Hermione Granger’s 39th Birthday! Neide and I always joke about having such a hard time writing Birthday posts for Emma – because it’s difficult putting in to words how someone you’ve never really met has affected your life. Emma and Hermione are different, of course, but the fact is we have grown up with both of them, and The Brightest Witch of Her Age is the reason we met one of our biggest role models.

Our fansite was launched back when Emma still spent most of her years filming Harry Potter, which means Hermione is the main reason I Heart Watson exists, and the reason many of you have visited it for over a decade. She’s the reason some of us made friends we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and the reason so many girls have felt empowered. On her Birthday, we’d like to congratulate J.K. Rowling, Emma Watson and Noma Dumezweni for bringing such an important female character to life. You have left a mark in all of us, and we are so thankful for it. ❤

Hello everyone! Another year has come to an end, and now it is time for us to go through the best parts of it together!

The year of 2017 marked the return of I Heart Watson in full force. After many ups and downs in the past 4 or 5 years, it has a brand new team and a new style to go with it. We’re nearing our 11th anniversary online, and we are so proud of the visitors we’ve acquired through the years.

This was a big blockbuster year for Emma, by far the biggest since her Harry Potter days. The final trailer for the much anticipated Disney musical Beauty and the Beast, in which Emma played the fierce princess Belle, was released in late January (x), and the first (somewhat public) screening of the film took place in Paris, France, on the 19th of February (x). It premiered all over the world in March, to great reviews by many outlets. It was the #1 movie in the world, and it broke a few records: it has become the Highest Grossing Live Action Musical Ever (x), the Highest Grossing PG Film Ever in U.S. (x), and the Eighth film to top $500 million in the U.S.

The film has made over 1,2 billion dollars worldwide (x). It won Movie Of The Year at the MTV Movie + TV Awards, which also awarded Emma with the Best Actor Award for the first time, after nominating her for 4 consecutive years. It was the first gender-neutral acting award at MTV (x) – as well as at any major award ceremony.

The promotion for Beauty and the Beast was full-on, as was expected from a Disney blockbuster. Along with her castmate Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and more, Emma appeared in talk shows, covered some of the biggest magazines, and attended premieres around the world.

Beauty and The Beast wasn’t the only movie we got to see Emma in these past months. The Circle had its theatrically release shortly after Beauty and The Beast, on April 26. Based on the Dave Eggers’ novel of the same name, The Circle tells the story of a woman (played by Emma) who after landing a dream job at a powerful tech company, uncovers an agenda that will affect lives of all of humanity. Starring alongside Tom Hanks and John Boyega, the movie didn’t have the feedback everyone hoped for – scoring an average rating of 4.3/10.

Once more, we got to see Emma out and about promoting The Circle. Not only she attended a livestream event hosted by Twitter HQ (x), but also premieres around the world and stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (x).

At last, 2017 was also the year when we joined forces with Emma-Watson.net, the first and longest running fansite for Emma online. We used to visit it before we ran our own, and we continued to do so afterwards. We know both EW.net and IHW have marked her fans through the years, and we are proud to be helping one another. Make sure you join their forums, so we can all talk and stay sane through the thousand years we’ll have to endure without a new movie: The Emma-Watson.net Forum.

Thank you so much for the continued support of IHW! We hope 2018 brings you love, happiness and new achievements. We’ll see you then! ❤
