We’ve updated our gallery with screen captures of interviews Emma did in 2002! That’s when she was promoting the 2nd Harry Potter movie, titled “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. The quality of all of these is just as bad as the ones from 2001, because the videos are so old. It will improve as we go through the years, so please bear with us. We figured they were still worth adding!
Hey guys! In the absence of anything new to post on our fansite, I’ve decided to make screen captures of some old videos. Our gallery has had a “Screen Captures” category since we relaunched it years ago, but none of us had had anytime to work on it until now. I’m thinking of going year by year, so I started with videos from 2001, when Emma was promoting “Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone” with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
Today is Hermione Granger’s 39th Birthday! Neide and I always joke about having such a hard time writing Birthday posts for Emma – because it’s difficult putting in to words how someone you’ve never really met has affected your life. Emma and Hermione are different, of course, but the fact is we have grown up with both of them, and The Brightest Witch of Her Age is the reason we met one of our biggest role models.
Our fansite was launched back when Emma still spent most of her years filming Harry Potter, which means Hermione is the main reason I Heart Watson exists, and the reason many of you have visited it for over a decade. She’s the reason some of us made friends we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and the reason so many girls have felt empowered. On her Birthday, we’d like to congratulate J.K. Rowling, Emma Watson and Noma Dumezweni for bringing such an important female character to life. You have left a mark in all of us, and we are so thankful for it. ❤

Today is Harry Potter’s Birthday! It has been known as the International Harry Potter Day, and fans are celebrating all over the world. It also happens to be JK Rowling’s Birthday, and we hope she is having a beautiful one wherever she is! For those of you who don’t know or can’t remember, Harry’s date of birth was a very important detail in the book/film series, mostly because of a prophecy by Sybill Trelawney, which stated that a boy who could defeat Lord Voldemort would soon be born.
“The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches… born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies… and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not… and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives… the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies….”
That, of course, explains why Lord Voldemort spent so much of his increasingly low enegergy after The Chosen One over the course of 7 books and 8 films. Join us in our celebration on Twitter using the hashtag #PotterDay!
