Into The Gloss just shared an article where Emma reveals all about her beauty routine! It’s a good read, and it came with two gorgeous photos of our Belle, photographed by Olivia Richardson in London on December 16, 2016. You can read her article below (and check out the original source for some beautiful photos of the products), and the new photos are in our gallery!

INTO THE GLOSS | “There’s something about looking into someone else’s makeup bag—it’s such an intimate glimpse into their personality somehow. When I was a kid and working on Harry Potter, I would always ask the makeup artists, or just anyone, ‘Can I see your makeup bag?’ I loved exploring that way. And my other favorite thing was, while I was having my hair and makeup done, to clean and organize people’s makeup bags. So I would sit there and clean every product and put it all back together again. Anyway, it’s been a passion of mine for a long time. Recently I’ve become super interested in sustainability and transparency and understanding what I’m putting on my face and on my body. It’s been a fun little mission to see how far I can go with it… Can I create a completely sustainable wardrobe? Can I dress sustainably on the red carpet? Can I put together a hair and makeup look with completely organic products? I needed to figure out if it was achievable or not. You can’t talk the talk if you don’t walk the walk. So that’s what I’ve been discovering over the past couple of years.

At first, I didn’t really know the answer. I was doing all this research and came across Content, a cute little shop on the Marylebone High Street. Every week, I would go back and try something different, until one of the girls who works there asked if I wanted to meet Imelda Burke, who runs the store. So I went for lunch with Imelda and we became really close friends. Now I’m lucky enough to be able to text her and ask about any product I find—if she knows if it’s organic or natural or clean and all that. She actually just came out with her own book, which is amazing because she’s just done an insane amount of research. The other way I find out about a lot of my products is on Instagram. I just keep a beady eye out really… I’m like a magpie running around trying out new products. Most of my routine keeps to an 80/20 philosophy because it’s very difficult to be a complete purist, especially when working in the film industry. You can end up driving yourself a bit mad and make it more stressful than it should be. Sometimes you just need a mascara to be waterproof and that’s OK.

The Elle Style Awards 2017
(February 14, 2017)

Hello Watson fans! The 2017 Elle Style Awards were held in the UK last night, and as expected our girl was in attendance. Emma made quite an impression at the event – stunning everyone in a floor lenght gown designed by Dave Bennet. We love this look on her! However, she did not attend the red carpet unfortunately, resulting in only 4 photos from the backroom. But those can be found in our gallery in gorgeous high quality! We hope to have more up soon, so make sure to keep checking back.

Emma took home the woman of the year award in recognition of her acting career and campaigning for gender equality, which she most definitely deserved! We are so proud of her, and all the hard work she’s been doing the last year – congratulations Emma. You can read parts of her acceptance speech below…

Emma Watson was crowned Woman of the Year at the Elle Style Awards in London on Monday night. The grown-up Harry Potter star took to the stage in a stunning strapless floor-length white gown with a tree design as she collected her latest accolade, awarded to her for her humanitarian efforts.

“This is not a year we will allow yourself to be silent,” Watson announced to rapturous applause. “This is the year that women’s voices are heard.” “I’m not sure I deserve it really, but I’ll take it,” the humble star added. It’s such an honour.”

Watson, 26, announced that she’s about to embark on a busy period promoting her new film Beauty and the Beast, in which she plays beauty Belle, and she revealed the Elle award has set her up as she prepares to become an international Disney star.

“It feels like I’m at the end of the harbour, ready to set off on my journey and it’s a nice wave from the British shores,” she smiled.

She was also thrilled to receive the award from journalist and feminist Caitlin Moran, adding, “It’s the dream. I read her books over about four or five years ago and I couldn’t stop laughing and crying. To have her presenting me an award tonight is beyond lovely.”

Watson earned the prize in part for her work on behalf of gender equality with the United Nations Women’s HeForShe campaign. She explained that Caitlin had been a big help as an adviser for her modern-day take on feminism.

“Caitlin has a certain resilience which I find particularly inspiring. She had this much bigger bird’s eye view than I did at the time of some of the things I was struggling with. The kind of perspective I have and the longevity she has, kind of felt very steadying.” [Source]

Source | Before she transformed into a golden-gowned princess, Belle was a French villager in a blue apron and peasant blouse. The look, though perhaps not quite as iconic as that yellow ball gown, is nonetheless memorable. When Emma Watson brings the bookworm heroine to life in the live-action remake, she’ll revamp Belle’s dresses too.

Disney recently shared another look of the new Beauty and the Best with sketches of the set and costumes, including Belle’s blue-and-white apron outfit. The drawings for Watson’s dress turns out to be a little grungier than the original, paired with boots and even a few dish towels strung at the belt instead of Belle’s dainty basket. Her perfectly bowed updo is also transformed into a loose pony, making her look even more realistic.

Last week, Disney released a first look of Watson and her co-star Dan Stevens reading their lines together as Belle and the Beast:
