karly's colouring tutorial

Note: This tutorial is done (and I believe only possible) in Adobe Photoshop.

Get your base.

Make a new layer and fill it with a gold colour. I used #EABE72.

Set this layer to multiply at 18% opacity. It will look something like this:

Now add a selective colour with these settings. You will likely need to adjust them to work with your picture:

Reds

Cyan: -100
Magenta: +19
Yellow: +43
Black: 0

Yellows

Cyan: -20
Magenta: -37
Yellow: -42
Black: +15

Neutrals

Cyan: +21
Magenta: +3
Yellow: +8
Black: -17

You'll get this:

I want to brighten it up a little more and reduce some of the pinks. Do do that, another selective colour layer!

Reds

Cyan: -100
Magenta: -21
Yellow: +16
Black: 0

Yellows

Cyan: -4
Magenta: 0
Yellow: 0
Black: +9

Neutrals

Cyan: +25
Magenta: 0
Yellow: -9
Black: 0
