First off, pick two or more pictures. I'll start with two - but more than two is fine. One thing to remember - don't make a blend too boring and don't make it too cluttered. If you want a "regular" blend, aim between two and five images. Don't worry about placement - make sure all the pictures can clearly fit in the blend.
Now, click on the top layer. You'll know you got the right later if the picture at the top of "palette" is surrounded in dark blue. Click on the "pen tool" and make a path (the shiny part around your selection) around one part of the top layer - don't get too close to the face (or features) and don't get too sidelonged.
Right click and press "make selection" when prompted. Next, press "ALT" + "CTRL" + "D" and a box should come up with the title "Feather Selection". Enter an amount between 15 and 55 - anything bigger and you'll get rid of the face. I chose "25". Press "Enter". The border around your selection should move a little bit. Now, press the "Backspace" key - the selection should disappear.
Click again on any part of the canvas - the shiny border should disappear. Press "CTRL" + "SHIFT" + "E" to merge the images together! There you have a blend! Now, add effects - brushes, textures - whatever! Happy blending. See my finished product? Click here.
