As the goody two-shoes of Hogwarts, her alter ego Hermione Granger would probably frown at the mere thought of associating with such troubled company.
But yesterday Harry Potter star Emma Watson was pictured hanging out with the ‘bad girls’ at Paris Fashion Week.
The 18-year-old actress was sat in the front row watching the Christian Dior Ready-to-Wear collection show, next to none other than Lily Allen, Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry.

Renowned for her outbursts, Lily hit the headlines recently after telling Elton John to ‘f** off’ during an on-stage rant as she co-presented the GQ Awards.
And in another far cry from Watson’s clean-cut image, Dita is known for her sexy burlesque dance routines and former relationship with goth-rocker Marilyn Manson who she was married to between 2005 and 2007.
It was also notable that Watson, who is currently working on the final instalment of the Harry Potter films, sat slightly inclined away from I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry.
Perhaps she was avoiding the possibility of Katy planting a smacker on her cheek.
Watson is becoming a familiar face on the fashion circuit and looked stylish in a classy grey belted coat and vertiginous black lace-up boots.
She has signed up to the Storm agency which also represents Kate Moss, Carla Bruni and Lily Cole.
The young actress, said to be heading for university post-Potter, could find herself in demand as a cover girl instead.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson puts acting career on hold
The 18-year-old wants to concentrate on her degree after finishing filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on which she starts work early in the New Year.
“I would like to go to university and complete a degree and so that will mean a break from acting,” Miss Watson, who has made more than £10 million thus far from the Harry Potter franchise, told The Telegraph.
“I’ve always tried to balance my education with my acting career, but I just don’t think it will be possible to juggle it with a degree course. I have a need now to study.”
The actress, who was first cast as Hermione Granger at the age of nine and was educated at Headington School in Oxford, is currently on a gap year before starting university either in this country or the United States.
“There are excellent universities over there and I’m applying at the moment,” she said. “If I stay in this country I will read English Literature, and if I go to America I would do a Liberal Arts programme.”
After she completes work on the last Harry Potter film, of which there are two parts, Miss Watson has no further acting commitments scheduled. Her spokesman denied she is giving up acting for good but confirmed that “any future projects will take second place to University. Her first commitment will be to her course”.
Whilst her co-stars in the Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, have signalled their wish to pursue a career in acting, Miss Watson has in the past emphasised other interests. These include, interestingly, fishing and she has in the past helped raise money for the Wild Trout Trust.
In April, when she turned 18, she gained control of her finances and it was revealed recently that she had purchased a £1 million chalet in the ski resort of Meribel, France.
The teenager, who ranks as the 55th wealthiest young person in the country, speaks fluent French having lived in Paris until the age of five.

Fashion Magic
EMMA WATSON is making her way stylishly up the fashion ladder - sitting front row at the Christopher Kane show yesterday afternoon, she really liked what she saw.
“I haven’t worn his clothes before but I met him at a party and he showed me some of his dresses on other girls and I just knew I wanted to see more, I loved them.”
So has the interest in fashion only developed since her own A-list status came about via the Harry Potter films?
“Not really,” said the tiny, gorgeous star, who was flanked by two very protective Storm model agents. “I’ve always been really interested in art and fashion. I’ve only ever been to one fashion show before - the Paris-Londres Chanel show - but this season I’m seeing this one, Giles Deacon tonight and then I’m going to Paris to see Balenciaga, Chanel and McQueen. I really can’t wait.”
So how is her confidence on the catwalk? Is it scary walking into a show with all the flashbulbs popping?
“It is a bit intimidating, yes - but everybody looks so incredible, I’m enjoying myself too.”

Stylish Emma casts her own spell as she checks out LFW’s Giles Deacon
Harry Potter star Emma Watson was worlds away from her tomboy character Hermione Grainger this week as she checked out the latest looks at London Fashion Week.
With not a strand of hair out of place and natural poise which would have made any catwalk queen proud, the 18-year-old actress more than held her own amongst the style set at the Giles Deacon runway show.
Watched by famous fashionistas such as Elizabeth Jagger and Leah and Jo Wood, the British designer unveiled a collection with a distinctly out-of-this-world theme, presenting futuristic-looking voluminous gowns and PVC dresses teamed with space helmet-like headgear.
Also part of the collection were metallic-hued spaceman-inspired trousers – which proved particularly popular with model Agyness Deyn. The platinum-haired beauty, who helped present Giles’ designs during the show, turned up wearing a pair of the eye-catching pants for the afterparty.

Elementary, My Dear Watson
IF you think you’ve got Emma Watson pegged, think again. The girl formerly known as Hermione Granger has officially grown up - in couture, no less - on the pages of this month’s Vogue Italia.
The shoot, by photographer Mark Seliger, shows a stunningly made-up Watson rampaging through an opulent country mansion in the world’s most beautiful dresses. And it’s a side of the actress that we should get used to. Having been represented by Storm Special Bookings for two years now, we’re told by her agent there’s huge demand for her from the fashion industry - a world with which Watson is increasingly enamoured.
“The Italian Vogue photo shoot was a fascinating experience. I was very excited to work with Vogue for the first time, but also to be given the chance to model couture,” she explains. “Each dress was so special and important (because it is one of a kind), and we only had a short time to shoot each one before it had to go elsewhere to be worn or shot by someone else. This meant the shoot had a real momentum. And the jewellery to match each dress came with its own security guards.”
As glamorous as that sounds, however, apparently it has its disadvantages.
“I was terrified of ripping, getting mud (as we shot outdoors), cake, a prop, or anything on the dresses!” she tells us. “I felt like I was learning a whole new set of rules to a new game - just like shooting a film. Mark encouraged me to become a different person or character for photograph and so they all tell difference stories. So, in the end, I combined two loves: art/fashion and acting.”
She adds: “I enjoyed the fact that Mark treated me like he would have done any other model and pushed to get the best out of me. I learnt a lot and have found a whole new respect for the hard work models put into their work and for couture. A love affair has begun.”
