Journalist: the initial idea that sent us to London was for you, Harry Potter followers, to get closer to the cast.A lot of you consider yourselves to be the number 1 Harry Potter fan and ,also, a lot of you sent us questions to the cast.

Let’s go with some questions with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

So, this is from Andrea Bezerra from Venezuela: she wanted to know if before each shoot, they forced you to read the books.

Emma: Uh, yes because I can read the scripts but there are some things in the book that are left out and when I’m acting I need to know these things so that I can be subjective. For example, in this movie we don’t see any feelings growing between Ron and Hermione. Although it’s important that there’s a tension between them, these subtleties are not in the scripts. Like you said the fans are really important and they’re the main reason why we’re doing these movies in the first place and because they’re such big fans of the books.

Journalist: This is from Juliana Olivera who’s from Colombia and she thinks that in the past movies your character was a little scared but that with the progress of the Order of the Phoenix your character seems a little more brave; is that maybe because he’s growing up?

Rupert: Yes I think Ron has grown up quite a lot since the last one. He’s a lot more, um, definitely more sure and more stronger in this one. In the last movies he got scared really more easily like she said (Olivera). Now he’s more focused on his life because these are hard times with voldemort coming back which is terrifying.

Journalist: Roberto Etxeberria de Panama wants to ask you: why do you think Harry Potter is really famous to all ages? Himself is married and 30 years old.

Emma: Wow! Um, because J.K. Rowling is such a talented writer. They’re books for kids but at the same time, they’re not because adults can also read them. guess because they’re so much depth to them. You can never stop interpreting and getting more out of it. Each of the spells has a Latin name and a meaning. And all of these “magical words” that she can think of. There are a lot of turning points in the plot, a lot of depth and a story behind all of that. She has a ton of notebooks with details and details on all of the characters and their family throughout the generations. Which shows that this is not a book for kids anymore; you can get a lot out of it.

Journalist: So, this one is from Daniel Perez from the Dominican Republic. He wanted to know what are your plans when it comes to education? Are you going to go to university or are you going to continue acting?

Rupert: Um, I left school around 16, a couple of years ago, and ,um, I never really liked school it was never my favourite sort of thing. So I was really lucky that Harry Potter came along and that I could leave school. I could go back and take some classes, maybe I will but I was never good at school. I was only good in arts so if I do something new it’ll be in this field.

Journalist: Any admirer of Harry Potter’s magic would like to live in flesh the most exciting moments of this story. Well, good news because the Universal studios with Warner Bros. are making a theme park so that this dream can become real.

Scott Trowbridge: The world of Harry Potter is going to be a 7th new island that we are going to add to the Universal Studios in Orlando. It’s going to be the biggest project that we have added to one of our parks throughout the world. When you’re making a movie, one just has to make what the camera sees. Here we’re making a world for discovery and exploration. We’re making the buildings so accurately, I don’t think it’s ever been done before. People can see things from underneath, from the sides, they can feel and touch everything.

The British star has been given complete reign over the money she has earned through appearing in all five of the “Harry Potter” films.

In a deal with England’s royal bank Coutts, who also look after her co-star Daniel Radcliffe’s fortune, the actress is required to make low-risk, high-interest investments and attend courses on how to be a responsible millionaire.

April 19, 2008 - Watson: ‘Radcliffe and I will never be a couple’

‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson is so sick of the media speculation surrounding her friendship with co-star Daniel Radcliffe, she has vowed never to start a romance with the actor.

Watson, who plays Potter’s sidekick Hermione Granger in the hit film franchise, is convinced fans of the boy wizard series desperately want her and Radcliffe to become a couple in real life – because their characters fail to unite in author J.K. Rowling’s books.

And the 18-year-old blames the public’s desire for the union for the constant press speculation about their relationship.

She says: “Dan Radcliffe is very charming, and very, very sweet and knows how to handle it (the rumours about their relationship). We’ve been handling this situation for six years now.

“Everyone has been going, ‘Are you and Dan together?’ Because it doesn’t happen in the books, everyone is so desperate for it to happen in real life that any opportunity to come up with a story about it is taken.”

April 18, 2008 - Emma Watson gets tips on managing her wealth

“Harry Potter” star Emma Watson gained access to her $21 million (and growing) fortune when she turned 18 this week, and she celebrated by … signing up for a three-day financial education course run by the private British bank Coutts, the Scotsman reports.

Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter himself, is also believed to be taking part in the Assets and Responsibility course, which is designed for clients’ children between the ages of 17 and 23.

The bank, which would not comment on who is enrolled, says it launched the course last year with 22 speakers on a variety of subjects, including how to read the financial pages of a newspaper and deciphering the stock market. “It’s an important course because these young people are at an age where they’re beginning to handle their own wealth,” a spokesperson says.

Watson is signed on for the final three Harry Potter films (the last book will be released as two movies), but has not ruled out going to college. “People can’t understand why I don’t want to (quit school), but school life keeps me in touch with my friends,” she has said. “It keeps me in touch with reality.”

Emma Watson’s magical birthday present

Harry Potter star Emma Watson really had something to celebrate on her 18th birthday.

The French-born actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the hit film series, finally got access to the £10.5 million she had amassed while working on the movies.

There won’t be much splashing out, however, as Watson has been enrolled on a course to ensure she understands the responsibility of investing the money wisely.

The meetings had been arranged by Coutts, bankers for the Queen and included talks by private bankers on how to manage the fortune, set up a business and give to charity.

They were attended by other Harry Potter child stars including Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy.

Watson’s fee for the next film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is believed to be £2.5 million, with a further £3 million to be earned from the two part conclusion to the series, Deathly Hallows.

Emma Watson’s other work has been the TV adaptation of the novel Ballet Shoes and an animated film, The Tale of the Despereaux, based on the book by Kate DiCamillo.

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard, took control of his finances when he turned 18 last July. His estimated worth is around £24 million, having invested in property and businesses.
