Quotes: Emma on her movies, co-stars, and boys

[Working with Boys] "I like being around mixed company. Dan and Rupert definitely make their fair share of cheeky comments about me being girlie, but it's all in good fun."

[Hardest scene - PS/SS] "Neville comes up to me with his toad, Trevor, and says,"Do you want to kiss Trevor goodnight?" Every time he did this I burst into laughter. I was supposed to give him an "I hate you" look, but I couldn't help myself. It took me about eight takes to get it."

[On Daniel and Rupert] "More than just friends, they've become like brothers. Or sisters, I don't know. In fact, I don't see them like normal boys. I mean that I cannot imagine me going out with one of them. For me, they are like my best friends. I can laugh and talk about everything with them without any taboo. I really like them a lot."

[On Daniel] "I actually genuinly like him"

“It’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me, it’s the biggest thing that’s ever happened to me, and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me! I really enjoyed making the film and I’d love to think that people would look up to me. That’s very flattering.”

“It’s (the films) not necessarily getting much scarier or darker, it’s just getting more mature, I suppose. It really does depend on the kid. I took in a 5 year-old of my friend’s, and I was the one cowering in my seat. It just depends on the kid, really.”

“I’ve watched the film about four to five times now. It’s really weird to see yourself on the big screen. I find that I’m always looking at mistakes and not the good bits.”

[On hugging Dan in CoS] “I mean, running down a Great Hall in front of 300 actors is so embarrassing. I made a deal with him, though, as long as he didn’t do it in slow motion, and he didn’t put soppy music behind it!”

“There were 300 extras in the same room for one whole week. Everyone is dying of boredom and they need to be laughing; Robbie Coltrane had to stand up on the tables and dance. They did the Macarena and the cancan, and it worked! It was the highlight of the whole filming! I never laughed so much in my life!”

“It’s very hard to tell a dog, 'Do it again, you weren’t sitting in the right position.' You have to be quite patient because Fang drools everywhere. It takes ages to get off your robes, and Hedwig flies in the wrong direction.”

[On earlier Potter films] “It’s like baby photos… I look like a chipmunk.”

“I always say this every time but it’s my favorite so far.”

[On dancing at the Yule Ball] “It’s very funny because the girls get up and are really ready to go and dance while the guys are like, 'Uhhh ... yeah I’m not getting up and dancing'. It was good fun to do.”

[On watching GOF] “I was on the edge of my seat for the whole of the film, it’s terrifying.”

[On Voldemort] “I know! For the first time after all these films of talking about him and muttering his name under their breath you do get to see him for the first time, played brilliantly by Ralph Fiennes.”

“It’s always been about remaining faithful to the book.”

“I have to say I kind of agree with Dan. I have a really nasty feeling that Voldemort can’t keep on existing while Harry’s alive. I think Voldemorts going to die but I think he’s going to bring Harry down with him. Which is sad, but I think it’s going to happen, and I think, I really hope Hermione and Ron get together in the end. I think they’d make a good couple.”

[On Dan] "Dan's like my brother, how many times do I have to say it? Seriously, nothing happening there."

"We have to see each other almost every day. They have seen me very glamorous at the premieres, and so at six o' clock in the morning without make-up. It's impossible not to feel like a real family."

“I love being the bossy girl, it’s great.”

“They had always played down the way I was suppose to look in the films and suddenly they really wanted this Julia Roberts, Pretty Womenesqe moment, and it was really good fun.”

[On Potter] “I don’t think any of this could ever really get old.”

[On kissing co-stars] "Oh my God, no, no chance, no chance. That's not in my contract!"

“For me, what keeps me really interested is that we have a new director every single time around. I always learn something new, they always bring something to it, they always have their own separate vision.”

[On the Yule Ball] “I was a bit nervous, but I was in good hands. Mike knew exactly how awkward and clumsy a teen girl can feel when a guy asks her out for the very first time. I think that he made that Yule ball scene a really brilliant one. Hermione, Ron and Harry obviously begin to develop feelings for the opposite sex, and they don’t know how to handle with that. I think a lot of teenagers will recognize themselves in our characters.”

[On her dream costar] "Oh my goodness, there's so many people I want to work with, there's so many people... I'm so lucky because I got to work with loads of them on Harry Potter. But... Brad Pitt, you know, he's pretty good (laughs)."

"I think it's great. I get to see Alfonso again, which is really nice because I miss him so much."

[On R/Hr] "He likes her, she likes him. They're really different but they're perfect. It's just gotta happen, I really hope it does."

"I was a huge fan before I even started being in these films and I would be upset if we made a film that didn't do the book justice."

[On HP Premieres] "Amazing ! Somehow, it just gets bigger every year."

[On Punching Malfoy] "I loved it, I loved every single second of it. Girl power ! It was great. I would have done it for a whole week, but we got it in a couple of takes and I was like "Let me do it again, let me do it again !". It was fantastic, it was a great moment."

[On R/Hr] "I really hope that Hermione and Ron get together in the end 'cause I think that they make a good... couple."

[On Hermione in GOF] "I think in this one she’s not quite in the action as much, she’s kind of watching, which in a way she hates more because she just wants to be in there with Harry, helping him all the way through it. I think, for her, this is just basically feeling concerned for him a lot of the time. I’m surprised she’s not having a nervous breakdown, she’s so worried that he’s not gonna make it."

[On Yule Ball] "I didn’t know there was so many ways you could walk down a flight of stairs, honestly."

[On Crying in GOF] "It was the first time that I've had to properly cry on screen. Actually, you know what, it's funny, I find it easier to cry but to laugh realistically... When they just say "laugh on cue", it's really hard not to make it sound kind of fake (...) But no, I did have to try to think about something that was really upsetting."
