AskMen has placed actress Emma Watson at the top of its list of the Top 99 Outstanding Women, citing her work on the United Nations’ HeforShe campaign as a “noble pursuit.”

The men’s website says their list celebrates women who are both beautiful and remarkable within their industries. MMA fighter Ronda Rousey clocks in at No. 2 on the list, and Kim Kardashian rounds out the top three. Laverne Cox was named No. 16, and though the list is heavy on actresses, there are plenty of spaces for athletes, from Alex Morgan to Lindsey Vonn.

Publisher James Bassil called Watson “rich, successful, famous, stylish, beautiful, intelligent, personable, kind,” yet emphasized that she has “thrown her back” into the issue of feminism.

“Harry Potter” alum Emma Watson has closed a deal to star in Disney’s live-action musical “Beauty and the Beast,” TheWrap has learned.

Bill Condon (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”) will direct from a script written by Stephen Chbosky, who directed Watson in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the previous draft of the screenplay.

David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing under their Mandeville Films banner.

Watson is set to play Belle in “Beauty and the Beast,” which is the latest Disney classic to receive a live-action adaptation following “Maleficent,” “Cinderella” and Jon Favreau‘s upcoming take on “The Jungle Book.”

Watson had previously been attached to star in Guillermo del Toro’s “Beauty,” which the director was developing for Warner Bros. before exiting the project in June, when Disney hired Condon. When WB’s version hit a snag, Disney began to court Watson for its own adaptation with del Toro’s blessing, as the studio agreed that Watson would be perfect as Belle, according to a source.

Emma confirmed the news and her excitement in a post at her official facebook account.

Forbes have just unveiled their 30 Under 30 list for 2015, and Emma Watson has appeared due to both her acting and her role as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Here’s what they had to say:

Emma Watson, 24
Actor-UN Women Goodwill Ambassador

Watson has come a long way since Hogwarts. She’s finding her niche as an actor, appearing in films like “The Bling Ring” and “Noah”. Last summer, Watson was named UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Her speech before the UN on behalf of the HerForShe campaign went viral and established the 24 year old as an important advocate for gender equality. Somehow, she also found time to graduate from Brown University in May.

Emma Watson has been voted the top feminist celebrity of 2014 in a Ms. Foundation for Women online poll, which was conducted in partnership with Cosmopolitan.com.

The “Harry Potter” star’s win is due in part to her work as a U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador, the announcement of which crashed the U.N.’s website.

According the U.N.’s site, which is now up and running, Watson planned to “dedicate her efforts as U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador towards the empowerment of young women and will serve as an advocate for U.N. Women’s HeForShe campaign in promoting gender equality.” To that end, recent Ivy League graduate gave an impassioned speech on feminism and gender at the U.N. (which you can watch below) and launched the “HeForShe” campaign, which aims to conscript men and boys around the world into the battle to end the inequality against women and girls.

“The more I spoke about feminism, the more I realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop,” she said in her address to the U.N. “For the record, feminism by definition is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.”

The 24-year old actress, who proudly calls herself the F-word (that’s “feminist,” people) got Russell Crowe, Tom Hiddleston, Lena Dunham and more to tweet their support for the HeForShe campaign, helping to bring awareness to the important cause.

In addition to Watson, the Top 10 2014 feminists, based on the Ms. Foundation’s poll, are a who’s who of women either in the news or making the news: “Orange is the New Black” star Laverne Cox, news anchor Rachel Maddow, one-named legends Beyoncé and Cher, upcoming Golden Globes hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, “Into the Woods” actress Meryl Streep, “The Mindy Project” star Mindy Kaling, and journalist Ann Curry.

The 2014 British Fashion Award nominees are in, and most of the list probably won’t surprise you.

The picks for most stylish stars across the pond included the usual suspects, such as Emma Watson, Cara Delevingne, Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba. But there was one always impeccably dressed star who was missing: Kate Middleton!

So why was the duchess left without a nomination? The British Fashion Awards included the royal in last year’s honors, and this year they’re celebrating a fresh group of nominees.

Watson has been ruling the red carpet since she was a teen. The actress is always one to watch at award shows, frequently sporting daring and unexpected choices—like the crimson Dior frock she wore over black cigarette pants and cobalt pumps at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.

The British Fashion Council hand-selected this year’s crop of potential Fashion Award winners, but the awards are actually decided by members of the public. You can vote for your most stylish celeb on the British Fashion Awards website.
